Festival season is upon us, and all of the team here at Mask love a good festival. Read on to find out which festivals we love, and what we love about them!
Favourite festival you’ve been to and why? Or a festival you are dying to go to?
I am dying to go to Coachella, it has been on the list for a while! I love the variety of music it offer and also LOVE California, also less risk of being in a rainy tent! – Hannah Robson, Bespoke Events & Sales Director
The only festival I have left on my UK hit list is Glastonbury! I have tried so many times and never managed to get them. Would love to stay in a campervan and do it properly, not good with camping and not being able to wash my hair… – Amy Deal, Account Director
I am dying to go to Sziget in Budapest; they always have a really great line up such as Catfish & the Bottlemen, and Tom Odell. I really enjoy live bands over DJ’s at festivals, so you can belt your heart out! You could also visit Budapest, which is a plus. – Ellie Wallace, Account Executive
Bestival or Common People… Love a bit of 80’s music! Wild Card: Whychwood 2018 – Gypsy Kings put on a great show. Dying to go to: Rio Carnival! – Ellie Davies, Account Executive
Did someone say Festi-Season? Count me in! I’m sure I’m not alone in saying that this is one of the best seasons of the year. Greasy hair, smelly clothes, sleep deprived – what’s not to love?! My favourite festival would be Sziget Festival in Hungary. If you haven’t been already I highly recommend it. It’s one of the largest music and cultural festivals in Europe and it’s not like any other festival because it’s on a massive Island! From all genres of music, to performing arts and a roaster of activities to choose from, you can never get bored at Sziget. – Amber Moss, Events Assistant
Go to festival food?
Always a cheese burger! – Hannah Robson
I love trying different food at festivals. Quite like greek food at festivals, the nice wraps and falafel – Amy Deal
My every day go to food, but especially my go to festival food is a good greasy burger and cheesy chips! I love how it could be 11am at a festival and a burger is acceptable, my kind of place! – Ellie Wallace
Macaroni cheese, with all the toppings… BACON & asparagus (get those greens in where you can!) – Ellie Davies
At Sziget you are spoiled by choice by the wide variety of food stalls being offered. My favourite was the burger joint, I ordered the large, juicy, cheesy, bacon burger and definitely ate one too many a day…. – Amber Moss
Drink of choice?
At a festival it is always beer – Hannah Robson
Embarrassing, but I can’t say no to a red stripe when they’re on offer! Never really see them around unless you’re at a festival, so I go all out – Amy Deal
I’m not going to lie, I had a Red Bull slushy at a festival once and it changed my life. Apart from that, I do love the mini white wines you get at festivals! – Ellie Wallace
Usually I can’t say no to a glass of Prosecco, but at a festival a fruity cider is the way to go – Ellie Davies
The great thing about Sziget is that unlike other festivals, it’s really cheap – BONUS! Like a beer can is only £2 and spirits from £3. So considering there’s a 30 degrees heat a cold can is for sure my go to drink. – Amber Moss
If you could see anyone at a festival, who would it be?
If I could have Queen back they are one band that I would love to have seen live. Slightly obsessed with Billie Ellish at the moment so would like to see her live or Post Malone! – Hannah Robson
Oh it has to be the one and only George Michael! Never got to see him, it’s one of my biggest regrets so seeing him at a festival, with Wham would be incredible. – Amy Deal
I wish I could go back in time and see Fleetwood Mac at a festival, I am seeing them at Wembley in June, however I think they would be incredible in a festival vibe. Imagine The Chain blaring out, drinks flowing in the sunshine whilst with all of your best friends. I think it would be amazing. – Ellie Wallace
George Ezra! Or the Foals… but I’ve got that covered, see you at Truck! – Ellie Davies
There are so many amazing artists that I would love to see, but if I had to pick one I would want to see the Queen B. Beyoncé is an amazing singer and dancer and has such a great energy on stage I would love to be a part of one of her shows! Hopefully my day will come. – Amber Moss
