Recent launch party themes have included an immersive Hollywood-themed party for Compare the Market’s Meerkat Movies team. For this event, we were tasked with bringing Sunset Boulevard to London. Celebrating the success of the company’s recent campaign, the Hollywood-themed party took inspiration from elements of classic Hollywood cinema, on-screen icons and modern-day blockbusters.

The stage was set at the Haymarket Hotel’s indoor swimming pool and bar – a striking backdrop just waiting to be given the Mask treatment. First impressions count.

Two giant Oscar statutes stood at the red-carpet entrance to the venue, setting the scene for a night in Tinseltown. Upon arrival guests had their moment in the limelight, striking a pose at the step and repeat board, before they ventured inside for the full VIP experience.

Once inside guests were taken aback by an immersive Hollywood experience. Silver framed prints of iconic screen sirens stood beside vintage clapperboards, film reels, Oscars and popcorn buckets.

As a nod to the American cultural icon of the Hollywood Hills, a smaller version of the 45ft tall Hollywood sign stood in pride of place by the dance floor, flanked by giant film reels and bright lights. Here guests celebrated their successes, dancing the night away to the sounds of our DJ. Read the full story of this launch event on our case studies page.

For high street retailer Homebase, we created high-street shops in a blank canvas space, to beautifully show off new collections to key press contacts.

Remembering Homebase’s core purpose: ‘Helping everyone live in a home they love’ and the brand’s key trends we created Homebase Street, a street of shops presenting the brand’s products in a variety of inspiring settings.

The end result saw a range of different rooms created, from a florist, a bar and a boutique country inn to a hardware store and Christmas shop. Experiential elements were also added, to ensure all guests engaged with the new products. The full story is available here.

Staff of game Angry Birds were treated to an 80s-themed celebration for a recent launch party, which was inspired by classic games such as Transformers. A rock n’ roll venue in Exient’s hometown, Leamington Spa was selected to host this incredible evening. 10 foot dancing pyrotechnic robots and actors in 80’s soft rock mullets welcomed guests on arrival with plenty more surprises inside.

To give guests the 80’s look, fancy dress was provided in the form of wigs, Angry Birds masks and bright accessories. A secret room unveiled more surprises including mannequins with rock hair, a live graffiti artist creating a bespoke Angry Birds Transformers piece and a coloured caravan stuffed full of branded soft toys and vintage transformers.

Entertainment was provided by a live band, Iron Tyger, who agreed to change their name to the Autobots for the evening. The Autobots delivered two sets of pure 1980’s rock n’ roll to a delighted crowd and then screened 1984 rockumentary Spinal Tap in the golden caravan, followed by a screening of Michael Jackson’s Thriller at midnight.
