Brief:
Bring the Hollywood vs Bollywood theme to life at Cafe de Paris for a one-off Christmas party
Solution:
The VIP experience started as soon as guests arrived on the red carpet attendees could stop for a moment at our box office or strike a pose with a BAFTA at the branded board.
On entering the venue guests found themselves transported into a Hollywood world; a gold colour scheme, complemented by black and white elements, brought La La Land to London. Here guests could admire the giant figures of King Kong, The Hulk and Superman whilst getting to know the lookalike actors, Marilyn Monroe and Will Smith.
Furnishings included a bespoke art deco bar, Hollywood posters and spotlights straight from the film sets. A wall of fame showcased the past year’s top performers, inspired by those coveted stars on Hollywood Boulevard’s walk of fame.
Moving downstairs the floor took on a Bollywood feel. The room was bold and vibrant, with the bustling feel of a Mumbai street market. The bar was recreated with brightly coloured corrugated iron and dressed with signs and props. An Indian rickshaw and dressed elephants (not real ones, sadly) also took centre stage in the room. There were more photo opportunities inside too, with guests getting papped against backdrops of Indian icons such as the Taj Mahal.
Entertainment from FullCircle took on a Hollywood theme, with James Bond aerialists astounding guests with their acrobatics. And of course, no Bollywood party would be complete without a little dancing. Before guests hit the dance floor to the sounds of a live DJ they were treated to a Hollywood vs. Bollywood flash mob dance off.
