Neustar wanted to put a twist on traditional Christmas entertaining with added surprises for their guests.
Mask created a bespoke event for 150 guests at the National Gallery. The festive theming began from the entrance of the venue, with guests travelling up a beautiful lantern-lit staircase to the spectacular spaces of the Barry Rooms.
On entering the venue, guests were given an opportunity to win a great Christmas gift: a brand new iWatch 2. They could then explore the stunning event space, with its striking domed roof and octagonal layout, complete with ornamental marble pillars and walls lined with historic British paintings.
The venue’s original features were enhanced with traditional festive décor, including Christmas trees adorned in giant baubles and atmospheric lighting. Neustar branding was added throughout the venue, giving the event a personal feel.
Guests were in for a surprise though; at 8pm a carefully planned welcome speech was given, which then prompted a flashmob choir, with singers disguised as attendees, catering staff and museum hosts. As the choir broke out into the Christmas classic ‘All I Want for Christmas is You’ they gathered in the centre of the room, before belting out a series of festive favourites, including some incredible renditions of Carol of the Bells and Let it Snow.
The Barry Rooms is an impressive setting for bespoke event, lending itself particularly well to fine dining events and drinks receptions. The location gives this venue an added appeal, moments from Charing Cross and Leicester Square.
